Deliver comprehensive operating room nursing care at Brant Community Healthcare System in Brantford or Paris, Ontario, using critical thinking and patient assessment.

Reporting to the Manager, Operating Room, PACU and Day Surgery, the Registered Practical Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care in the operating room. BCHS requires an accredited college nursing graduate with current registration and good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario. The successful applicant brings BCLS certification, post graduate Operating Room education, and current operating room experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide comprehensive nursing care in the operating room
- Assess patients and contribute to care planning
- Set priorities while multitasking in changing environments




- Communicate with interprofessional team members and patients
- Support colleagues and students as coach, teacher, or mentor

Requirements:

- Graduate from an accredited college nursing program
- Registered and in positive standing with College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
- Completed post graduate Operating Room course
- Minimum one year current Operating Room experience
