The Quesnel School District seeks an Elementary Learning Assistance Teacher for Kindergarten through Grade 7. The successful candidate supports learning assistance, learning support programs, curriculum access, and individualized education plans. Collaboration with classroom teachers, principals, school-based teams, special education assistants, district staff, and others is required.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support students in small groups for literacy and numeracy
- Develop and assess programs and IEPs collaboratively
- Model strategies addressing a wide range of neurodiversity




- Administer assessments and write summaries of results
- Maintain current records according to Ministry and District guidelines

Requirements:

- Valid BC Teaching Certificate and good standing with Teacher Regulation Branch
- Elementary Education specialization in Special Education
- Recent successful elementary Learning Assistance teaching experience
- Experience providing learning support programs
- Knowledge of early literacy programs
