? We're Hiring: Manager, SAP Solutions – Centre of Excellence (CoE) Manager

emergiTEL is seeking an experienced Manager, SAP Solutions – Centre of Excellence Manager for our client in the food manufacturing industry.

? Location: North York, Ontario (On-site, 5 days/week)

? Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time

? Salary: $125,000–$145,000 per year

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on SAP leader to oversee functional delivery across multiple SAP modules, lead a team of five functional leads, and establish a strong SAP Centre of Excellence (CoE).

The successful candidate will drive SAP S/4HANA implementation and continuous improvement, strengthen master data governance, oversee application support, and ensure effective collaboration between business and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead SAP functional teams across Order-to-Cash (O2C), Procurement, Plan-to-Manufacture, Record-to-Report (R2R), and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM).
- Provide hands-on leadership in SAP configuration, functional design, testing, and defect resolution.
- Drive cross-functional design quality and alignment with business objectives.
- Establish master data standards, governance practices, and data quality metrics.
- Oversee functional testing, defect management, and process documentation.
- Develop and implement the SAP CoE operating model for post-go-live support.
- Manage enhancement backlogs, release planning, demand intake, and application support.
- Oversee third-party Application Management Services (AMS) providers and service delivery.
- Coach and develop functional leads while strengthening internal team capabilities.
- Support SAP S/4HANA rollouts across additional business entities.




- Drive process improvements, end-user training, and continuous optimization.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum 8 years of SAP functional delivery experience.
- At least 3 years of SAP functional team leadership experience.
- Experience leading a complete SAP implementation lifecycle through go-live and hypercare.
- Hands-on configuration experience in at least two SAP modules.
- Experience establishing or managing an SAP Application Support function or Centre of Excellence.
- Proven experience managing third-party AMS providers.
- Strong knowledge of master data governance, ownership models, and data quality standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- SAP certification in at least one module is an asset.

Preferred Experience

- Background in food manufacturing, manufacturing, or food distribution.
- SAP S/4HANA implementation and multi-entity rollout experience.
- Exposure to cloud-based SAP deployments.
- Experience building internal capabilities and transitioning contractors into permanent roles.
