Lead major-gift fundraising for Stella's Place in Toronto, combining donor stewardship and strategic relationship-building within a hybrid senior leadership position.

Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, the Director, Major Gifts, advances transformational philanthropic support for Stella's Place. You will manage major-gift prospects, foundations, and corporate partners while leading development staff and cultivating support for young adults. The position requires 5+ years of progressive major-gift fundraising experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop major-gift strategies targeting annual revenue of $1.5M–$2M
- Manage portfolios of 100–150 major-gift prospects
- Lead complex solicitations and prepare tailored proposals




- Coach volunteers through cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship
- Manage direct reports and collaborate across development teams

Requirements:

- Five-plus years of progressive fundraising experience
- Proven record closing five- and six-figure gifts
- Ability to structure complex financial gifts
- Robust donor relations, writing, planning, and analytical skills
- Experience managing direct-report relationships
