About the Role

Our client is seeking a data-driven and analytical Procurement Analyst to join their purchasing department in Kimberley, Northern Cape . This role is critical for optimizing procurement strategies through rigorous data analysis, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and improving overall supply chain efficiency. You will be responsible for tracking spend, analyzing supplier performance, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, proficiency in data manipulation and reporting tools, and a solid understanding of procurement principles within a dynamic business landscape.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze procurement data, including spend, supplier performance, and market trends, to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to track key procurement metrics and KPIs.
- Support the negotiation process by providing data-driven insights and cost analysis.
- Evaluate supplier performance and identify areas for improvement or risk mitigation.
- Assist in the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures.




- Collaborate with finance and operations teams to ensure alignment on procurement strategies and budgets.

Requirements

- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement, finance, or a related analytical role.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
- Familiarity with procurement processes and supply chain principles.
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage complex analytical projects.
- A relevant degree in Finance, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or a related quantitative field.
