About the Role

Our client, a leading supplier of industrial fluid handling solutions, is seeking a skilled Industrial Pump Systems Technician to join their team in Kimberley. This role focuses on the installation, maintenance, repair, and servicing of a wide variety of industrial pumps and related equipment across various sectors. Key Responsibilities

- Install, maintain, and repair various types of industrial pumps, including centrifugal, positive displacement, and submersible pumps.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot pump system issues, identifying mechanical failures and operational inefficiencies.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal pump performance and longevity.
- Service and overhaul pumps, replacing seals, bearings, impellers, and other components as needed.
- Interpret pump schematics, technical manuals, and performance curves.
- Ensure all installations and repairs comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Test pump systems after maintenance or repair to verify performance.
- Maintain accurate service records and report on equipment condition.




- Provide technical advice and support to customers regarding pump system operation and maintenance.
- Work collaboratively with sales and engineering teams to provide solutions for customer needs.

Requirements

- Proven experience as an Industrial Pump Technician or in a related mechanical maintenance role.
- Strong understanding of pump types, operating principles, and fluid dynamics.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues in pumps and related equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Experience with seal replacement, bearing installation, and general pump overhauls.
- Familiarity with different pump materials and their applications.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- A relevant technical qualification or trade experience is preferred.
