Build donor relationships and fundraising systems as a Philanthropy Specialist in Burlington, Ontario, working four days weekly in the office.

As Burlington Humane Society’s first dedicated fundraiser, you will establish philanthropy infrastructure with Board and leadership support. The position focuses on donor stewardship, annual giving, corporate and foundation partnerships, and capital campaign readiness. Your work will strengthen support for animal welfare.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage individual, foundation, corporate, and major gift donor portfolios
- Conduct donor meetings and prepare proposals, presentations, and stewardship reports
- Implement annual giving, direct mail, monthly giving, and appeals
- Develop fundraising systems, policies, processes, and donor communications




- Support legacy giving and capital campaign readiness initiatives

Requirements:

- Three to five years managing donor relationships and fundraising targets
- Strategic thinking, initiative, and an entrepreneurial mindset
- Board, volunteer, and community leader engagement experience
- Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and independent working skills
- Keela or similar database and Microsoft Office experience
