Connect York University researchers with industry opportunities as an Academic Industry Partnerships Advisor supporting Mitacs programs across Canada.

This one-year contract serves as a bridge between academia and industry partners. You will understand researcher and student needs, identify opportunities, and introduce companies to Mitacs programs and York University researchers. The work supports commercialization, innovation partnerships, and practical results.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with Mitacs teams to deliver high-quality programming
- Understand York researchers’ and students’ needs
- Build industry and academic networks across the GTA
- Introduce companies to programs and university researchers
- Support agreements, promotion, and stakeholder coordination

Requirements:

- Recent Master’s or PhD, ideally from York University
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Creative, energetic, self-starting approach
- Vehicle access for client meetings and events
- Written and spoken English; French is an asset
