Design high-speed analog circuits with Ciena’s Wavelogic team, using CMOS or BiCMOS expertise and supporting optical fiber transmission solutions.
This Hardware Engineer role contributes to mixed-signal IP blocks for Wavelogic products. You will work on DAC, ADC, SERDES, transimpedance amplifier, modulator driver, and precision analog circuits. Design and characterization occur in Ciena’s state-of-the-art lab.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design detailed analog blocks under senior engineer guidance
- Collaborate with layout teams through full GDSII delivery
- Characterize circuits from test chips through product implementation
- Provide status updates and participate in team meetings
- Share design experience with the group
Requirements:
- Work toward an engineering, computer science, or scientific degree
- Previous internship, co-op, or relevant applied project experience
- Experience leading designs in advanced CMOS or BiCMOS technology
- Methodical approach to addressing technical problems
- Proficiency with Cadence, Mentor, or Synopsys design tools
