Our client, is seeking an experienced, highly technical SAP-TM Functional Configurator to join their supply chain and logistics technology engineering group. In this strategic, hands-on role, you will play a key part in the client's next-generation SAP S/4HANA Transportation Management (TM) transformation journey. Operating within an Agile delivery pod, you will analyze existing business processes related to supply chain logistics, transportation optimization, and last-mile delivery, translating operational requirements into scalable system efficiencies. You will establish and maintain SAP TM best practices, author detailed functional specifications, configure core TM modules, execute testing, and collaborate closely with cross-functional scrum teams and executive leadership to drive seamless supply chain execution.

Duration: 6-Month Contract (Full-time engagement)

Responsibilities

- Business Process Analysis & Optimization: Analyze and evaluate existing supply chain, transportation optimization,



and last-mile delivery workflows to design system-driven operational efficiencies.
- SAP TM Functional Configuration: Hands-on configuration and tuning of SAP Transportation Management (S/4HANA), aligning master data, planning, and execution modules with best practices.
- Functional Specification Authoring: Write, review, and refine detailed functional design specifications, technical documentation, and test cases for custom enhancements and integration points.
- Governance & Standards: Establish and maintain enterprise SAP TM configuration, testing, and delivery standards across the project lifecycle.
- Scrum Team Delivery & Risk Mitigation: Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, identifying and mitigating delivery risks for yourself and your delivery pod.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Clearly articulate technical solutions, process improvements, and project milestones to cross-functional stakeholders and senior leadership.

Qualifications

- SAP S/4HANA TM Configuration Depth: Proven, hands-on experience configuring SAP Transportation Management on S/4HANA (release 1809 or greater).
- Supply Chain & Logistics Expertise: Strong working knowledge of industry best practices for enterprise supply chain execution, transportation planning, and logistics operations.
- Core Module Knowledge: Solid working knowledge of SAP TM Optimizer or SAP EWM,



including master data requirements, execution, and carrier planning workflows.
- Integration Frameworks: Practical experience working with SAP integration architectures and interfaces connecting ERP, warehouse, and transportation systems.
- Agile Methodology: Demonstrated experience delivering functional scope within an Agile/Scrum project execution framework.
- Collaboration & Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build effective relationships across technical and business teams.

Preferred Assets & Nice-to-Haves

- Functional familiarity or experience with SAP TM 9.x or earlier S/4HANA TM releases.
- Exposure to last-mile delivery solutions (both proprietary in-house platforms and 3rd-party logistics integrations).
- Practical operational background in transportation management, warehousing, or retail distribution centers.
