Our financial services client is seeking a Analyst, Technology Strategy & Innovation to design and build proofs of concept using AI, automation, APIs, and data technologies

Join a technology innovation team focused on rapidly testing and validating emerging solutions across business functions. This role works across business and technology teams to develop proofs of concept, prototypes, and technology experiments using AI, data, automation, APIs, and cloud-based tools. The position supports evaluation of vendor technologies, integration of internal and third-party platforms, and collaboration with D&T; teams to mature successful concepts into scalable solutions. The team operates within a hybrid environment requiring in-office collaboration four days per week.

Contract, Toronto, Hybrid, 4 days/ week

Must Haves

- 2+ years in technology, engineering, data, innovation, or product-focused technical roles
- Hands-on development using Python and SQL for automation, data analysis, system integration, and proofs of concept
- Experience with Generative AI, APIs, automation, and AI-enabled development tools
- Experience with Python, Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft SQL Server, or PostgreSQL
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

Nice to Have

- Experience building data visualizations, dashboards, or lightweight user interfaces using React, Power BI, or Streamlit
- Experience with cloud technologies, enterprise data environments, data governance,



security, or technology architecture
- Experience evaluating vendor solutions through prototyping and technical assessment

Responsibilities

- Design and build proofs of concept, prototypes, and technology experiments
- Leverage AI, data and analytics, automation, APIs, and cloud-based tools to test innovative solutions
- Evaluate technical approaches and iterate on prototypes based on feedback and business requirements
- Explore and integrate internal platforms, third-party technologies, and emerging solutions
- Identify and develop use cases for AI, automation, analytics, and emerging technologies
- Evaluate emerging technologies and vendor solutions through hands-on testing and prototyping
- Develop recommendations and executive-level presentations communicating findings and business value
