As Engineering Lead, you will guide a small team building BioRender’s core AI figure agent platform. You will shape architecture, planning, tool use, and self-correction for systems serving more than four million scientists. The work combines production-grade AI leadership with evaluation-driven improvements to output quality.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead engineering for the core agent platform
- Improve figure quality through evaluations and experimentation
- Benchmark frontier LLMs and VLMs for scientific accuracy
- Optimize model routing for quality, cost, speed, reliability
- Establish monitoring, alerting, and performance triage

Requirements:

- Experience leading engineers and setting technical direction
- Experience shipping agent orchestration platforms to production
