Position Overview

Serruya Private Equity is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and forward-thinking Corporate Finance Manager to oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, and financial analysis across multiple entities within our portfolio.

Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, the successful candidate will play a key leadership role in managing financial operations, supervising and developing a finance team, and driving continuous process improvement through automation, artificial intelligence (AI), and technology-driven solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting expertise, demonstrated experience managing finance professionals, and a proven ability to identify inefficiencies and implement scalable improvements.

This position requires a hands-on finance leader who combines robust financial management capabilities with a proactive, innovative mindset and the ability to thrive in a dynamic business environment.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Accounting Operations

- Lead and oversee month-end and year-end closing processes across multiple entities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare, review,



and analyze monthly financial statements, management reports, and financial reporting packages.
- Oversee general ledger activities, reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and supporting working papers.
- Conduct financial analysis, including budget-to-actual comparisons, variance analysis, and identification of key financial trends.
- Provide meaningful financial insights and recommendations to support senior management in strategic and operational decision-making.
- Ensure consistency, accuracy, and efficiency in accounting practices across multiple portfolio companies.

Process Improvement, AI & Automation

- Lead initiatives to improve and streamline finance and accounting processes, identifying opportunities to reduce manual work, improve accuracy, and increase operational efficiency.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement AI-powered tools and automation solutions to enhance financial reporting, reconciliations, data analysis, and routine accounting activities.
- Leverage AI, advanced Excel capabilities, and other financial technologies to improve reporting efficiency and support data-driven decision-making.
- Develop and implement standardized accounting procedures, reporting templates, and workflows across multiple entities.
- Evaluate existing finance processes and recommend practical,



scalable solutions to improve productivity and strengthen internal controls.
- Lead or support ERP system implementations, upgrades, integrations, and optimization initiatives.
- Promote the adoption of new technologies and continuous improvement practices within the finance team.
- Ensure appropriate controls, data security, and review procedures are maintained when introducing AI and automation tools.
- Directly supervise, mentor, and develop a team of finance and accounting professionals, providing ongoing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, delegate responsibilities, and ensure team members meet established deadlines and performance expectations.
- Review work completed by team members to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards.
- Identify training and development opportunities to strengthen technical capabilities and improve team performance.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and support business objectives.

Taxation, Compliance & Internal Controls

- Coordinate and support year-end corporate tax filings in collaboration with external tax advisors.
- Review HST/PST filings and ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and financial reporting procedures.
- Support external audits and ensure the timely preparation of accurate financial documentation and supporting schedules.
