Centennial PS

Centennial PS is located at the southwest edge of Ottawa's downtown district. Its diversity; cultures, languages, staff and student body is what makes this school both special and unique. At Centennial the well‑being of our students within our school community and clear sense of belonging provide the foundation of academic excellence for our students. We are a small but mighty school with a population typically over 200 students. We support the English streams K-6, Middle French 4-6 and are fortunate to have both the Primary Learning Language Disability Program (grades 1-3), and two Physical Support Program classes that support grades 1-8. Our families speak over 18 different languages at home and our school provides support to many English as a Second Language families.

Devonshire Community Public School

Devonshire Community Public School is a single stream Early French Immersion School. Our mission is to provide each child with the opportunity to achieve his or her potential and become fluent in a second language. We strive to develop in all our students, social responsibility, critical thinking skills,



creativity, academic growth to meet established outcomes, and a life‑long love of learning. Students, teachers, support staff, parents, School Council, and the community at large work together in promoting a true partnership that makes Devonshire Community Public School everything a school should be.

- Please note that at OCDSB the term contract refers to positions that are permanent and not Long Term Occasional (LTO) or temporary assignments.

The French language freeze continues to be in effect. Therefore, if you accept any teaching percentage of French contract, you may only be considered for other French contract positions.

Applications Will Be Considered In The Following Order

1. All OCDSB Elementary Contract teachers (full time & part‑time teachers, teachers interested in transferring or increasing status) are equally eligible to apply for this OCDSB vacancy for which they are qualified.
2. For French vacancies: FSL Pool Placements where possible.
3. For all remaining unfilled French and all English vacancies: At least three (3) teachers, who are currently employed as an occasional teacher with the OCDSB, and who have the required OCT qualifications and who best meet the criteria outlined in the job posting.
4. If fewer than three (3) qualified applicants apply, all qualified applicants will be interviewed.
5. External applicants.

- October 28 - Internal offers/recommendations due to HR by 4pm
