Equinox Gold seeks an Environmental Technician reporting to the Environmental Superintendent. The position conducts regulatory monitoring and supports compliance with permits, environmental assessments, and regulations. You will sample and inspect sites, review data, and contribute to environmental programs and audits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform sampling and site inspections under the Environmental Monitoring Plan
- Collect, report, compile, and review monitoring data promptly
- Provide input on environmental programs and compliance practices
- Direct and train contractors on monitoring activities
- Conduct inspections, risk assessments, and internal audits
Requirements:
- Five or more years of relevant work experience
- Mining or heavy industrial experience preferred
- Experience with Monitor Pro or Stake Tracker
- Knowledge of environmental and waste legislation and standards
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
