Lead airport health and safety management for AECOM in Mississauga, applying on-site expertise to an advanced, sustainable airport program. This position works in office five days weekly.

AECOM seeks a Health and Safety Specialist to advise the program across key safety matters. The work includes onboarding and training, reporting, incident investigation, and Threat and Hazard Impact Risk Assessments. You will collaborate with contractors, assess safety plans, audit performance, recommend corrective actions, report risks, and support staff development.

Key Responsibilities:

- Implement assigned health and safety position duties
- Provide subject matter expertise and safety guidance
- Coordinate Threat and Hazard Impact Risk Assessments




- Audit safety measures and recommend corrective actions
- Report risks and issues to decision makers

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree and six years’ direct on-site experience
- Health and safety management practice experience
- Seven-plus years in a professional on-site safety role preferred
- Construction or major infrastructure experience considered an asset
- Strong stakeholder management with owners, consultants, and contractors
