This Coherent Optical Systems Engineer role focuses on advanced transceiver design, development, characterization, and optimization. You will work with early-stage PIC, DSP, and analog ASIC hardware. The position combines digital-optical integration, calibration methodologies, control algorithms, and system-level performance analysis.
Key Responsibilities: Perform digital-optical integration of coherent optical transceivers
Develop calibration and control algorithms
Characterize SNR, OSNR tolerance, sensitivity, and related metrics
Validate analog, control, optical, and DSP sub-components




Analyze data and identify system performance improvements
Requirements: Ph. D. in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or related discipline
Experience with optical communications, photonics, electronics, or systems engineering
Understanding of coherent systems, QPSK, 16 QAM, and 64 QAM
Hands-on optical communication hardware experience
Robust analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
