As a Principal Software Engineer at Broadcom, you will deliver ultra-high-performance software and firmware for complex multiprocessor architectures. Your work may span Open BMC, Zephyr OS, embedded Linux, Yocto builds, device drivers, microcode, and upper-level control software. You will collaborate with experienced engineers and partner teams.
Key Responsibilities: Own software and firmware designs from concept through production delivery
Develop drivers, microcode, firmware, and control software
Support customer trials and resolve field issues
Drive validation, testing,



and automation activities
Collaborate across interdisciplinary and partner engineering teams
Requirements: Experience developing C++ or C for datacenter architectures
Experience with Linux, Yocto, Open BMC, or Zephyr OS
Expertise in silicon, board, and system bring-up
Knowledge of low-level interfaces and management protocols
Bachelor's engineering degree and 12+ years' experience
Bring principal-level C++, firmware, debugging, and lifecycle ownership expertise to Broadcom's Ottawa datacenter systems team.
