Build Authentication as a Service at e Bay with Java, Spring Boot, REST, and cloud infrastructure expertise. Work on scalable backend systems.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will develop production-grade backend services for authentication workflows. You will shape architecture, infrastructure, and deployment foundations for a reusable platform extending e Bay capabilities to Depop and other marketplaces. The work combines software engineering with direct operational ownership.
Key Responsibilities: Design and operate scalable backend services, APIs, and distributed systems
Build Google Cloud infrastructure using Terraform
Provision Cloud Run, databases, load balancers, and messaging systems
Develop event-driven architectures with Pub/Sub or Kafka
Improve CI/CD, monitoring,
observability, and deployment automation
Requirements: Six or more years of qualified software engineering experience
Production experience with Java or comparable backend languages
Experience developing RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
Hands-on Terraform or equivalent Infrastructure as Code experience
Experience operating applications on Google Cloud Platform or AWS
