As a Staff Backend Engineer, you will design core services and backend logic for event-driven systems. The work spans asynchronous programming, data processing pipelines, serverless applications, and RESTful APIs. Solid distributed systems fundamentals support dependable engineering decisions. Key Responsibilities:
Build event-driven backend logic using message queues and pub/sub services Manage concurrent tasks with asynchronous programming techniques Design data pipelines across cloud storage, compute, and databases Optimize performance through caching, async calls,
and latency reduction Develop serverless applications and RESTful APIs with Flask or FastAPI Requirements:
Five or more years of hands-on Python backend development Experience with cloud-native or serverless solutions, preferably AWS Knowledge of event-driven architecture, queues, and scalable data pipelines Hands-on asynchronous and concurrent programming experience Strong testing and debugging skills across distributed architectures Apply Python, asynchronous programming, and distributed systems expertise to build scalable AWS backend services and APIs in Canada.
