Support workplace safety at American Iron & Metal in Hamilton, Ontario, using inspections, risk analysis, and accident investigation expertise. This site-based position includes minimal travel.

As Health and Safety Advisor, you will plan, organize, coordinate, and oversee occupational health and safety activities for assigned sites. You will support managers and employees while developing safety culture, programs, procedures, and tools. The work includes Ontario regulatory compliance and preventive measures.

Key Responsibilities:

- Inspect workplaces and work practices for safety compliance
- Analyze occupational risks and propose preventive measures
- Investigate work-related accidents with managers
- Deliver training and monitor mandatory completion
- Track and report health and safety metrics

Requirements:

- College or university certificate in health and safety
- Two to three years of similar experience
- Knowledge of Ontario occupational health and safety laws
- Solid communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Valid G driver's license and MS Office experience
