About the Role

Our client, a key player in the logistics and warehousing industry, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Warehouse Logistics Planner to join their team in Kimberley, Northern Cape . This role is essential for optimizing the flow of goods within the warehouse, ensuring efficient storage, movement, and dispatch of products. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing effective warehouse plans, managing inventory flow, and coordinating with various internal departments and external partners. Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement detailed warehouse operational plans, including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, and shipping strategies.
- Monitor inventory levels and plan for optimal stock placement and movement within the warehouse.
- Coordinate with transportation teams to ensure timely loading and unloading of goods.
- Analyze warehouse capacity and resource utilization to identify potential bottlenecks and implement solutions.
- Collaborate with procurement and sales teams to forecast demand and align warehouse operations accordingly.
- Develop and maintain efficient warehouse layouts to maximize space utilization and workflow.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse efficiency, accuracy, and cost.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in warehouse planning and management.




- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the warehouse.
- Prepare reports on warehouse operations, performance metrics, and planning activities for management.

Requirements

- A Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in warehouse planning, logistics coordination, or operations management.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing warehouse operational plans.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, warehouse layout optimization, and material flow.
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and relevant planning software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with multiple teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with the logistics landscape in Kimberley, Northern Cape is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
