Operate dozers, graders, and excavators at BW Gold's Blackwater Mine near Prince George, British Columbia, on a two-weeks-on, two-weeks-off rotation.
As an Equipment Operator 3, you will operate heavy mining equipment in a mining environment. The work includes inspections, routine maintenance checks, haul-road upkeep, loading areas, and dumps. You will communicate with dispatch, supervisors, and maintenance teams while supporting safe production and mentoring less experienced operators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate dozers, graders, excavators, and other heavy mining equipment
- Complete pre-operational inspections and routine maintenance checks
- Maintain haul roads, dumps, and loading areas
- Participate in safety meetings and hazard identification
- Report equipment issues and recommend operational improvements
Requirements:
- Competency operating at least three heavy equipment types
- Experience operating equipment in a mining setting
- Experience with MineStar GPS or similar systems
- Valid driver's license and safety protocol knowledge
- Ability to climb equipment and lift up to 50 pounds
