This position receives and transmits police messages and handles emergency and non-emergency calls. The work includes dispatching patrols, maintaining records, and communicating with outside police agencies and the public. Candidates should bring strong communication, data entry, and prioritization skills.

Key Responsibilities:

- Receive and transmit police messages through radio, telephone, and teletype
- Answer multiple lines and dispatch patrols for law enforcement response
- Prioritize communications and make urgent emergency decisions




- Operate communications equipment and law enforcement software
- Maintain logs, records, documents, and filed information

Requirements:

- High school diploma or higher
- Strong communication skills with diverse communities
- Ability to prioritize emergencies under stress and pressure
- Excellent data entry and software navigation skills
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and versatile schedules
