This casual Recreation Aide works in Programs, with hours assigned as needed. You will plan, implement, and evaluate individual and group activation programs based on assessed needs. The work supports residents, including those with cognitive impairments, through organized programming and careful observation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan individual and group activation programs based on assessed needs
- Implement and evaluate assigned resident recreation programs
- Prepare activity areas and transport residents to programs
- Monitor resident behaviour and condition during activities




- Maintain records and communicate participation to registered staff

Requirements:

- Post-secondary recreation, therapeutic recreation, kinesiology, or related studies
- Solid written, verbal, and documentation skills
- Experience planning programs for well and cognitively impaired residents
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Knowledge of geriatric populations and cognitive impairments
