This Soil Scientist role focuses on precision agriculture, soil fertility, and data-driven farm solutions. You will analyse soil data, develop variable rate strategies, and advise farmers on soil health. Collaboration with agronomists and technologists supports practical agricultural recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse soil testing, sensor, and remote sensing data
- Develop site-specific fertility and nutrient management plans
- Design variable rate maps for agricultural inputs
- Use GIS and remote sensing to identify management zones
- Prepare client reports, recommendations, and presentations
Requirements:
- Master's or PhD in Soil Science or related field
- Minimum five years' soil science experience
- Precision agriculture and data analysis experience
- Proficiency with ArcGIS, QGIS, or comparable GIS software
- Experience using R, Python, or SAS for analysis
