Glacier FarmMedia ("GFM") is a dynamic company in the Canadian agriculture industry that connects with farmers through a variety of regional and specialty media franchises, a listings marketplace for the sale of farm equipment, leading industry events like Ag in Motion and Canada's Outdoor Farm Show and customized offerings for Weather and Market analysis and insights.

This role is an individual contributor position within a cross-functional team, responsible for producing visually engaging layout of editorial content and creating advertisements that uphold the highest standards of accuracy and professionalism across print media publishing. This is a great job for a new graduate who is looking to gain on-the-job experience who is looking to work in a supportive culture to grow their skills.

This is a remote role for a candidate who has sufficient internet service and ability to focus in a home workplace. Meeting deadlines is one of the most critical skills.

Duties and responsibilities:

- Design and layout print publications, including magazines, newspapers, guides, and promotional materials, adhering to brand guidelines and publication standards.
- Create ads as required.
- Collaborate with editors, writers, advertising coordinators, production coordinators,



sales team and management to conceptualize and execute visually compelling layouts and graphics that enhance editorial content and engage readers.
- Embrace and adapt to new technologies.

Qualifications:

- Training in Graphic Design through a diploma or courses or demonstrated on-the-job experience will suffice.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and other design software in a Mac environment, ideally with advanced knowledge of typography, layout, color theory, and composition.
- Knowledge of printing processes and specifications, with the ability to prepare print-ready files.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for precision and accuracy.
- Self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
