Perform DNA extraction, PCR, and electrophoresis as a DNA Analyst 1 in Mississauga, supporting high-throughput laboratory analysis. This permanent position operates onsite at Twin Guelph.
MERIEUX NUTRISCIENCES seeks an entry-level Laboratory Analyst for routine molecular biology procedures. You will generate operational data through sample preparation, DNA amplification, and electrophoresis while following established procedures. The work supports accurate, compliant laboratory operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare samples for routine high-throughput DNA analysis
- Perform DNA extraction and PCR, qPCR, and dPCR setup
- Conduct electrophoresis and generate operational data
- Operate thermal cyclers and capillary electrophoresis systems
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and prepare reagents
Requirements:
- Biological Technician Diploma or similar laboratory analysis course
- Knowledge of DNA extraction and PCR setup
- Experience with thermal cyclers and capillary electrophoresis
- Knowledge of laboratory Occupational Health and Safety practices
- Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping skills
