About the Role

Our client, a premier recruitment consultancy, is seeking a highly skilled Executive Recruiter to focus on the fast-paced world of Technology Startups. This role is critical for identifying and attracting C-suite and senior leadership talent for innovative companies primarily based in the Northern Cape region and beyond. You will leverage your extensive network, deep understanding of the tech landscape, and sophisticated search methodologies to secure top-tier candidates for roles such as CEOs, CTOs, VPs of Engineering, and Head of Product. This position offers a fully remote work arrangement, demanding exceptional self-management and communication skills. Key Responsibilities

- Conduct in-depth market research and identify key talent pools for leadership roles within technology startups.
- Develop and execute targeted search strategies to attract and engage high-calibre executive candidates.
- Build and maintain robust relationships with founders, investors, and executive leaders in the tech startup ecosystem.
- Assess candidates' leadership capabilities, strategic thinking, and cultural alignment with startup environments through rigorous interviews and evaluations.
- Manage the entire executive search process, ensuring confidentiality, professionalism, and timely delivery.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing insights on executive compensation, market trends, and talent availability within the startup sector.




- Network actively within the technology and startup communities to identify emerging talent and opportunities.
- Prepare comprehensive candidate profiles and present well-researched shortlists.
- Negotiate complex executive offer packages and facilitate the onboarding process.

Requirements

- Minimum of 6 years of experience in executive search or retained recruitment, with a strong specialization in the technology sector.
- Proven track record of successfully placing C-suite and senior leadership roles within technology startups.
- Deep understanding of the technology industry, startup funding, and common leadership challenges.
- Exceptional networking, research, and candidate engagement skills, with a robust network in the tech community.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to understand complex business models.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently at the executive level.
- Experience working in a remote setting and managing multiple high-priority search assignments simultaneously.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
