The Staff Pharmacist assists the Pharmacy Manager across pharmacy operations at Walmart's Tecumseh Road East location. This role provides patient care based on consultation or file review. Responsibilities include accepting prescriptions, filling medications accurately, counselling patients, and delivering eligible services such as medication reviews and injections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Pharmacy Manager with pharmacy operations
- Accept prescriptions and refill requests from authorized sources
- Fill prescriptions accurately, efficiently, and safely
- Counsel patients on sold pharmaceutical products
- Protect patient privacy and follow provincial regulations
Requirements:
- Pharmacist License required for this position
- Additional Prescribing Authorization optionally applies in Alberta
- Ability to operate pharmacy registers and computer systems
- Ability to ensure proper pharmaceutical product storage
- Ability to execute Walmart best ways and SOPs
