Create meaningful resident experiences as a Recreation Aide at Cawthra Gardens Community in Mississauga. Prepare physical, cognitive, and emotional activities during part time days and evenings.

Reporting to the Director of Resident Programs, you will support recreation programming within Sienna Senior Living Long Term Care. The work includes assessing interests, needs, and progress while encouraging resident participation. You will also help residents and families access engaging program selections and support options.

Key Responsibilities:

- Contribute to developing and refining recreation programs and initiatives
- Prepare daily activities offering physical, cognitive, and emotional enjoyment
- Assess resident interests, needs, and progress with support
- Maintain accurate program and resident involvement records




- Lead designated activities and special events encouraging social interaction

Requirements:

- Post-secondary recreation, therapeutic recreation, kinesiology, or related education
- Equivalent work experience working with seniors may qualify
- Experience working with seniors and understanding motivation concepts
- Understanding of leisure principles
- Legal eligibility to work and required background checks in Canada
