Operate a propane counterbalance forklift on Aerotek's afternoon shift in Surrey, BC. Load, unload, stage, and move freight safely.
This permanent, fully onsite Forklift Operator position supports a high-volume cross-dock operation. You will handle diverse freight, verify shipments, maintain inventory accuracy, and communicate with drivers, supervisors, and team members. The schedule runs Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate propane sit-down counterbalance forklifts throughout most shifts
- Load and unload inbound and outbound trailers
- Stage pallets, appliances, tires, and general cargo
- Verify freight using documents and digital tracking systems
- Follow safety procedures while adapting to freight volumes
Requirements:
- Minimum one recent year operating sit-down counterbalance forklifts
- Valid forklift certification and trailer-loading experience
- Ability to maneuver safely in tight dock areas
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer skills and English communication skills
