This Laboratory Technician provides technical assistance through site visits, sampling, and waste classification support. The position handles routine sample preparation, analysis, lab packing, and facility housekeeping. It also coordinates results with production personnel and maintains accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine sample preparation and analyses using ICP and GC
- Assist customers with sampling and waste material classification
- Review reports and confirm outgoing materials meet disposal parameters
- Assemble and disassemble lab packs and prepare glassware
- Maintain analysis,
maintenance, and production records
Requirements:
- Environmental or Chemical Engineering Technician or Technologist diploma
- Previous laboratory, sales, or industry experience is an asset
- Competent computer skills with Microsoft Windows and Office
- Safety conscious, detail oriented, and able to follow procedures
- Willingness to work overtime and continental shift work
