Shape application security remotely in Canada through TypeScript, Go, and tenant isolation for a platform serving hundreds of enterprises. As the first dedicated security hire, you will own application security end to end and report to the VP of Engineering. This Lead-level role combines backend engineering with threat modeling, authorization design, privacy controls, and distributed systems security. You will influence products early while shipping production fixes yourself.

Key Responsibilities
- Own application security across every product team
- Read and write production TypeScript and Go
- Threat model products and major redesigns
- Design sub-tenant access controls for enterprise customers
- Improve rate limiting and abuse detection

Requirements:
- Six or more years in security engineering
- Backend software engineering experience with production systems
- Experience securing multi-tenant platforms across clouds or regions
- Early security hire experience at SaaS or data infrastructure companies
- Staff or Lead level reached through promotions Lead secure backend development through tenant isolation, authorization, threat modeling, and hands-on TypeScript and Go engineering.
