Lead geotechnical engineering projects from WSP’s Thunder Bay office, applying soil mechanics and foundation engineering across Northern Ontario. Collaborate with clients and technical teams. WSP seeks a Senior Geotechnical Engineer for its Ground Engineering team in Thunder Bay, Ontario. You will support client and project growth across Northwestern Ontario while managing geotechnical work from inception through completion. The work includes site investigations, soil and rock sampling, analysis, technical reporting, and design recommendations. You will also guide junior and intermediate staff, coordinate with contractors and stakeholders, and contribute to proposals, client meetings, presentations, and site visits.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and review reports, designs, and recommendations
- Mentor junior and intermediate engineers and technical staff
- Support client growth, proposals, meetings, and presentations

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in geotechnical, civil, or related engineering
- Ontario Qualified Engineer registration
- Minimum ten years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience
- Technical knowledge of soil mechanics and foundation engineering
- Ontario driver’s license and reliable vehicle access Bring senior geotechnical leadership, technical writing, client management, and project delivery expertise to WSP’s Ground Engineering team in Thunder Bay.
