Set technical direction at ChargeLab through distributed systems expertise and hands-on architecture work in a hybrid Etobicoke schedule. Shape software supporting EV charging networks. As a Staff Engineer on the Engineering Scale track, you will own specialist domains, patterns, and frameworks across ChargeLab. You will report to the VP of Engineering and influence without direct authority. The work connects architecture, validation, planning, Product partnership, and customer-facing platform needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Own architecture for specialist domains and shared engineering frameworks
- Make complex systems simpler through explicit architectural seams
- Build and validate solutions for difficult technical problems




- Lead Architecture Working Group agendas and roadmaps
- Mentor engineers across teams through reviews, standards, and coaching

Requirements:
- Extensive Senior or Staff-level engineering experience
- Distributed, event-driven systems expertise at scale
- Hands-on ability to build and validate complex systems
- Strong influence without direct authority
- Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics, or related degree Bring architecture leadership, distributed systems depth, and credible hands-on engineering judgment to ChargeLab’s EV software platform.
