As a Staff individual contributor, you will own application, transaction, and account takeover fraud strategy for card products. You will manage growing fraud losses while balancing operational costs and client experience. The work includes guiding data scientists and analytics developers through expertise and influence. Key Responsibilities:

Own card fraud strategy and execution across fraud types Manage the card fraud loss budget as volumes grow Design, backtest, ship, and tune detection rules Set decision thresholds on machine learning risk scores Guide pod specialists and mentor junior teammates Requirements:

Six-plus years of fraud prevention experience Three-plus years directly working on card fraud Advanced SQL for complex transaction-level queries Hands-on ownership of card fraud strategy Experience building, backtesting, shipping, and tuning fraud rules Bring independent direction, advanced SQL, and card fraud expertise to Wealthsimple's high-accountability fraud countermeasures team.
