About the Role

Our client, a premier architectural and urban design firm, is seeking a highly accomplished Principal Architect to lead significant mixed-use development projects in Kimberley, Northern Cape . Key Responsibilities

- Lead the architectural design and development of major mixed-use projects from concept to completion.
- Provide senior design direction and mentorship to project teams, fostering a culture of design excellence.
- Manage client relationships and stakeholder engagement for complex development projects.
- Oversee the development of design documentation, ensuring adherence to quality, budget, and schedule.
- Collaborate closely with engineering disciplines, urban planners,



and consultants to ensure integrated project solutions.
- Conduct feasibility studies, site analyses, and design reviews.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, zoning regulations, and sustainability standards.
- Represent the firm in high-level meetings with clients, developers, and local authorities.
- Contribute to business development efforts and the acquisition of new projects.

Requirements

- Master's degree in Architecture or equivalent professional qualification.
- A minimum of 12 years of extensive architectural experience, with a significant track record in leading large-scale mixed-use developments.
- Proven experience as a Principal Architect or in a similar senior leadership role.
- Exceptional portfolio demonstrating sophisticated design thinking and successful delivery of complex projects.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and project management.
- Strong understanding of urban planning, sustainability principles, and market trends in mixed-use development.
- Outstanding leadership, communication, negotiation, and client management skills.
- Proficiency in leading architectural design software and BIM tools.
- Registered Professional Architect with SACAP or equivalent.
