Apply structural analysis and design expertise with Barr in a hybrid Calgary or Saskatoon role focused on dams, hydropower, and flood control. Barr seeks a senior structural engineer to support multidisciplinary Engineering and Design teams. You will provide structural and technical expertise for hydraulic structures, including spillways, outlet works, decant systems, overflow weirs, and pump stations. Renewable, mining, and industrial projects may also arise.
Key Responsibilities
Complete dam safety reviews, audits, and inspections Perform structural analysis and design for hydraulic structures Assist with project planning, coordination, and execution Provide milestone updates to project managers and clients Develop client relationships and perform site inspections
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in structural or civil engineering Five or more years of relevant experience Qualified Engineer certification and PE certification AutoCAD or Revit and structural analysis software experience Knowledge of Canadian Dam Association safety guidelines Bring structural engineering, dam safety, and client communication expertise to Barr’s Calgary or Saskatoon hydropower practice.
