The Centre for Continuing Education at John Abbott College seeks a qualified instructor for its Full Stack Developer program. This contract teaches a 60-hour Programming I course, scheduled Monday through Friday during daytime hours. Candidates should bring computer science knowledge, professional or industrial experience, and post-secondary teaching experience. French teaching ability is preferred when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach the 420-JA4-AB Programming I course
- Deliver course instruction online through Microsoft Teams
- Teach Java within the Full Stack Developer program
- Provide instruction during scheduled daytime course hours
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum three years appropriate professional or industrial experience preferred
- Several years post-secondary teaching experience preferred
- Excellent English communication skills required
- Java knowledge required; testing may be required
