(The LAFRAMBOISE GROUP is seeking a Senior Mechanical estimator with Industrial project experience. This is a full-time position based out of Laframboise Group’s corporate office located in Long Sault (Cornwall) Ontario. We specialize in fabrication and construction services, including piping, structural steel, sheet metal, millwrighting, tank and pressure vessel fabrication, electrical and instrumentation and prefabricated modules.

Develop and apply appropriate hourly rates for the schedule and work hours / shifts of the project. Evaluate and compare supplier and subcontractor pricing to determine the best value proposal. Review the project specific documents, site conditions to understand the Work. Ensure Health & Safety Policies and provincial health and safety regulations are understood and followed. Travel to project sites as required. 15+ years experience between working and estimating millwrighting type work for industrial projects $10MM+. ~ Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage concurrent proposals and projects. ~ Proficient at analyzing, managing, and administering contract documentation. ~ Bi-Lingual in French or Spanish a plus. ~ Possess advanced proficiency in interpreting construction drawings and navigating the flow of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs;). Highly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and SharePoint, as well as in the use of estimating software. ~ structural steel, sheet metal, vessels and tanks, piping, electrical) would be a plus ~ Experience with the selection and implementation of an estimating software would be a plus.
