ClimateTech venture creation at Diagram combines market sizing and financial modeling with hands-on work launching early-stage companies. This role is based in Montreal or Toronto.
As an Analyst or Associate, Venture Creation, you will report to Diagram’s ClimateTech Venture Creation Principal. You will develop investment theses, generate venture ideas, research users and markets, and assess business models. The work supports potential ventures across climate technology and decarbonization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop investment theses and perspectives on opportunity areas
- Generate and pitch new venture ideas
- Conduct user research, market sizing, and competitive analysis
- Develop pitch decks and investment memos
- Lead pre-seed work plans, pilots, MVPs, and partnerships
Requirements:
- One to three years of relevant work experience
- Proven entrepreneurial mindset and high ownership
- Robust communication and analytical skills
- Ability to build financial models and conduct market sizing
- Technical or business degree
