You will shape architecture, infrastructure, and deployment foundations for a reusable platform extending eBay capabilities to Depop and other marketplaces. The work combines software engineering with direct operational ownership.

Key Responsibilities

Design and operate scalable backend services, APIs, and distributed systems Build Google Cloud infrastructure using Terraform Provision Cloud Run, databases, load balancers, and messaging systems Develop event-driven architectures with Pub/Sub or Kafka Improve CI/CD, monitoring,



observability, and deployment automation

Requirements:

Six or more years of skilled software engineering experience Production experience with Java or comparable backend languages Experience developing RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems Hands-on Terraform or equivalent Infrastructure as Code experience Experience operating applications on Google Cloud Platform or AWS Apply backend development, cloud infrastructure, Terraform, and production reliability expertise to eBay’s authentication platform.
