We are looking for a Senior Operations Manager, based out of our Toronto (Mississauga), ON, distribution center. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, relationship building and communication skills. Maintains all warehousing and distribution operations by initiating operational and personnel policies and procedures. Complies with federal, provincial and local warehousing, material handling and shipping requirements by enforcing adherence to requirements, advising management on needed actions. Safeguards warehouse operation and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols. Controls inventory accuracy by conducting physical counts; Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement. Manages warehouse staff by coaching, counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring and appraising job results. Ability to interact and build solid relationships with internal and external customers. Excellent organizing,



prioritizing, multi-tasking, product management and problem-solving skills with a strong sense of urgency. A hands-on management approach that encourages change and creative problem solving. Ability to meet strict time frames in environments with zero tolerance for failure. Ability to drive operational performance at the site level with a particular focus on productivity, quality, and cost. Be available to cover the different shifts as necessary during a supervisors’ absence. Regularly communicate with the facility management on issues that arise and be able to react as required. Maintains physical condition of the Configuration Centre by planning and implementing new design layouts; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement. Completes Configuration Centre operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results. ManagesConfiguration Centre staff by coaching, counseling and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring and appraising job results. Regularly conduct Customer/Vendor facing tours to support the business and be able to react as required. May operate motorized equipment (pallet jack, forklift, order picker, reach truck, etc.) Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
