About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Pipelayer to install underground water, sewer, and storm systems. The successful candidate will work in trenches alongside operators and Topman to ensure pipe is installed safely and to proper line and grade.
Key Responsibilities
Install water, sewer, and storm pipes Prepare trench bottoms (bedding, leveling, compacting) Align and connect pipe to proper line and grade Work with Topman and excavator operator during trenching Install manholes, catch basins,
and fittings Check pipe elevations using lasers or grade rods Ensure proper compaction and backfill Follow all safety procedures and regulations Qualifications & Experience ~2–5+ years experience in underground utility construction ~ Strong knowledge of: ~ Pipe installation methods ~ Line & grade ~ Trench safety Ability to read basic construction drawings Experience working in trenches and around heavy equipment Physically fit and able to handle demanding work What We’re Looking For Strong line & grade skills Experience with different pipe types and sizes High accountability Team-first mindset with a focus on execution Commitment to safety, quality, and getting the job done right
