Position Title: Electrician Position Status: Full-Time Regular Lions Gate Wastewater Treatment Plant, West Vancouver Salary Range/ Wage Rate: $48.87 hourly plus 6.25% deferred compensation(2024 wage rates) Our Liquid Waste Services Department is seeking an Electrician who will perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and installations to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our wastewater treatment facilities. You are: a candidate that is self-motivated, qualified in both teamwork and attitude, capable of working independently, safety minded and experienced with industrial electrical installation and maintenance. Install, test, trouble shoot and maintain electrical systems and equipment throughout GVRD facilities, ie: fabrication, wiring and installation of control systems, solid state, motors, lighting, low, medium and high voltage power equipment, etc. Plans own work approach, searches for and purchases most materials.



Assists in the training of apprentices. Grade 12, plus BC (or Interprovincial) Trade Qualification Certificate as a ,journeyman Electrician. Basic knowledge of motors, controls, pneumatics, electronics, solid state (hydraulics) controls, computer interface, draughting.
