Snowplow Operators & Sidewalk Crew – Winter Hiring

Clintar is hiring dependable Snowplow Operators and Sidewalk Crew Members for commercial snow and ice management. We’re looking for people who take pride in their work and can be counted on to help keep customer properties safe and accessible throughout the winter.

These are weather-dependent, on-call positions. Shifts may occur during the day, overnight, early mornings, weekends and holidays, sometimes with limited notice.

Snowplow / Equipment Operators
Pay: [$21-$25 hour, depending on experience]

Responsibilities

- Operate plow trucks or assigned snow removal equipment to transparent parking lots, access roads and designated areas.
- Apply salt or sand/salt as directed.
- Follow assigned routes, site instructions and designated snow piling areas.
- Complete pre-use equipment checks and report maintenance concerns.
- Watch for pedestrians, parked vehicles and obstacles while operating equipment.
- Record completed services and promptly report hazards, property damage or other concerns to the supervisor.

Requirements

- Previous snowplowing or relevant equipment operating experience.
- Valid driver’s licence appropriate to the assigned vehicle and a satisfactory driving record.
- AZ or DZ licence is an asset.
- Loader, skid steer or tractor experience is an asset.
- Ability to work safely and independently while following site requirements.

Sidewalk Snow Removal Crew
Pay: [$19-$22/hour, depending on experience]

Responsibilities

- Clear sidewalks, walkways, entrances,



stairs and other pedestrian areas using shovels and snowblowers.
- Apply salt and other de-icing materials as directed.
- Complete assigned areas thoroughly and according to site instructions.
- Report icy areas, hazards, property damage and equipment concerns.
- Work safely both independently and alongside other crew members.

Requirements

- Ability to perform physical outdoor work for extended periods in cold, snowy and icy conditions.
- Previous snow removal or landscaping experience is an asset, but not required. Training will be provided.
- A valid G licence and satisfactory driving record are assets, but are not required for non-driving sidewalk positions.

Requirements for All Positions

- Reliable, punctual and responsive when called for snow or ice events.
- Available for overnight, early morning, weekend and holiday shifts.
- Reliable transportation to the designated reporting location.
- CSA-approved winter safety boots and suitable winter clothing.
- Follow company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
- Communicate clearly with supervisors and crew members.
- Treat customer properties with care and conduct yourself professionally.
- Commit to working throughout the winter season.

Schedule
Hours vary with weather conditions. Snow and ice events may require extended shifts and call-outs with limited notice.

Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour
