About the Role

As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting our financial operations by managing accounts payable and receivable activities, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely processing of payments and invoices.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys balancing details, deadlines, and collaboration across departments.

What You'll Do

Financial Administration

- Maintain accurate accounting records, journals, ledgers, invoices, and receipts
- Process and reconcile vendor statements
- Support monthly financial reporting and statement preparation
- Assist with annual audit activities
- Process incoming payments including EFT, ACH, cheques, and credit card transactions

Accounts Payable Operations

- Receive and review incoming invoices
- Enter invoice data,



including purchase order and job costing information
- Coordinate invoice and purchase order discrepancies with Purchasing
- Prioritize and process daily ACH and cheque payments
- Process employee travel expense reports
- Match payments to supporting documentation and maintain vendor files

Team Support

- Work collaboratively with departments across the organization
- Follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Perform other related duties as assigned

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-4 years of accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or related experience
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with accounting software systems
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

- Postsecondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Manufacturing industry experience is considered an asset
