Responsibilities
- Clear snow and ice from sidewalks, walkways, entrances, and other designated pedestrian areas.
- Operate sidewalk snow removal equipment and use shovels and other hand tools as required.
- Apply salt and other de-icing materials as directed.
- Follow assigned routes and instructions to complete work safely and on time.
- Communicate with supervisors and crew members throughout each shift.
- Use a smartphone to submit work records, inspection reports, and photos.
- Inspect equipment and promptly report maintenance issues or damage.
Requirements
- Previous experience in sidewalk snow removal in a commercial setting.
- Smartphone with the ability to complete digital reports and upload photos.
- Reliable attendance and availability for weather-dependent shifts, including nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work outdoors in cold weather for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks, including shovelling.
- Ability to operate equipment safely, follow instructions, and work effectively with a crew.
- Solid attention to detail and clear communication skills.
