Farnese Insurance Brokers is an independent, owner-run Alberta brokerage with offices in Edmonton, Fort Saskatchewan, Sherwood Park and Devon. With access to 50+ insurance markets, we find clients the right coverage instead of selling them one company's product. We're growing in Fort Saskatchewan and Strathcona County and are hiring a Commercial Lines Manager to lead and grow the commercial book out of our Fort Saskatchewan office.

This is a full time, in-office position based in Fort Saskatchewan.

What you'll do

- Own the Fort Saskatchewan commercial book: renewals, remarketing, retention and account rounding
- Write new commercial business across contractors, trades, hospitality, retail, light manufacturing and more
- Build relationships with local businesses, associations and referral partners in Fort Saskatchewan and Strathcona County
- Negotiate with underwriters and place complex risks with our markets
- Be the go-to person for complex commercial files and claims advocacy
- Keep files E&O-clean; and our agency management system up to date
- Report production and retention to ownership monthly





What we're looking for

- Alberta General Insurance Level 2 licence (required). Level 3 is an asset.
- Minimum 5 years of commercial lines insurance experience at a brokerage or insurer (required)
- A proven track record writing new commercial business
- Strong underwriting judgment and negotiation skills
- Applied Epic experience is an asset
- Ties to the Fort Saskatchewan / Strathcona business community are a plus
